Sewer

The Carlisle wastewater treatment facility is a four cell aerated lagoon system with direct discharge to the Des Moines River. It was expanded and upgraded in 1995-96 and has a design capacity of 1,500,000 gallons per day.

The current average daily loading is 400,000 gallons with a peak daily load capacity of 5,750,000 gallons.

The current sewer rate consists of a basic service fee of $15.00 per month and a user unit charge rate of $5.99 per each 1,000 gallons.
