Police Administrative Assistant- Full Time

Starting salary is $16.00-$18.00 depending on experience and includes an excellent benefits package, including an optional supplemental insurance program. Job duties include but are not limited to; under the administrative direction of the Chief of Police and/or designees, to prepare, organize and manage any and all records, to manage the police department office, to serve as receptionist and to assist police officers with enforcement of nuisance ordinances, including weeds, animal protection and control, abandoned and junk vehicles and other ordinances as needed. The nature of the work generated in the police department is considered confidential.
Minimum training and experience required to perform essential duties and functions:
- Graduation from a standard high school or GED equivalent
- Graduation from a college or university with an associate degree in secretary training, business or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Two (2) year of related experience is also preferred but no required
