The City of Carlisle, Iowa, is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The Carlisle Police Department is a law enforcement agency dedicated to improving the quality of life for our community and visitors. Physical Agility & Police Officer Selection Testing (POST)
Physical agility testing and POST testing for non-certified applicants will be conducted on Saturday, February 20, 2020 at 08:30AM at the Carlisle Police Department, 195 N. 1st Street, Carlisle, IA 50047. Non-certified applicants with a valid POST score within the last year are not required to retake the POST.
Certified ILEA applicants are not required to conduct physical agility or POST testing and are not required to be present on February 20, 2020. Those applicants who successfully complete or are waived through physical agility and POST test will be contacted regarding the next phase of the process.
Position includes health, vision and dental insurance, including an optional supplemental insurance program, life insurance, longevity pay, additional compensation for shift differential and enrollment in the IPERS retirement system.
Job Summary and Requirements
Seeking dedicated, hardworking, team-oriented individual(s) to perform a wide range of law enforcement and crime prevention duties for the safety and protection of life and property in the Carlisle community. Preserves peace, order, safety, problem resolution and perform investigative work in preparation for arrests and /or criminal prosecution.
Officers can expect to work 7 out of 14 days per two week pay period, however; may be expected to work nights, holidays, weekends or overtime.
