Carlisle organizations to hold meeting for 2019 information

Carlisle organizations you are invited!

In an effort to gather more information for our community’s calendar of events, I would like to have a meeting with all organizations with in our city.  Someone from each organization is requested to be present.  Please bring your organizations calendar for 2019.

All organizations with in our city are encouraged to be present. All Non-profits, softball association, little league, soccer, CYA, Carlisle alumni, Carlisle school organizations and all other groups who have activities or events to share are invited!

When: Monday January 21st

Time: 7 pm

Where: Carlisle City Hall

My goal is to get more information on the city website calendar so our residents can be informed of events and activities in our community.  I am looking forward to meeting with you.

Co-Ed Volleyball League Registration now available

2019 co-ed Volleyball league registration is now available.  Games begin January 10 through March 7th.  Thursday evenings 8-10 pm.   Interested teams need to fill out registration form  and turn in to Carlisle City Hall with payment.  Looking forward to another fun season!!

Babysitting Clinic Postponed

Due to low registration numbers, the babysitting clinic schedule for November 28, December 5, and December 12th will be postponed to the Spring. 

 

Those who registered will be automatically registered for the Spring Class.  Dates yet to be determined.  If you prefer to have your payment refunded, please contact Ronda Frost at 515-707-2030 or email rfrost@carlisleiowa.org.

 

We apologize for the situation and hope we will have a better turn out in the Spring!

Babysitting Clinic offered

Do you have what it takes to be a first class babysitter?

Carlisle Community Center, 2:00- 4:00 pm on November 28th, December 5th, and December 12th

Registration Deadline: November 21st

This clinic will help you learn your responsibilities as a babysitter, what parents expect of you, how to handle emergencies, age appropriate activities, and much more. There will be multiple guest speakers and many interactive lessons. Each participant will receive an instruction book to use as a resource throughout their babysitting career.

This clinic is open to all youth in 5th through 8th grade. The clinic will be held at the Carlisle Community Building from 2:00– 4:00 pm on three consecutive Wednesday’s: November 28th, December 5th, and December 12th. Participants who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of completion!

Pre– registration is required to Carlisle City Hall  by November 21st. Registration cost is $21 for residents and $24 for non-residents. Space is limited to the first 20 participants registered with completed payment. Each participant is asked to bring a baby doll and a children’s toy for use in class.
