Reminder: Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt 3/30/18

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt will take place THIS Friday, March 30th, 8pm at South Park! 

Thank you to the generosity of FRIENDS OF CARLISLE PARKS, residents and business owners for donating candy, approximately 6000 eggs have been filled for the fun event! 

Check-in at the Concessions Stand will between 7-7:45pm, with the hunting to begin at 8pm. Children will be divided into age groups and then directed to the field for that age group. Remember to bring your own flashlight and basket/bucket to put eggs in.

We would appreciate all eggs to be emptied and returned to the bins located near each field and distributed through out the area.

Three Rivers Church is sponsoring a photo booth. Stop the concessions stand to capture those smiles!

The Friends of Carlisle Parks consists of people who are passionate about the parks and trails system in Carlisle. Members of the group are working hard by raising funds for various projects including new and improved playground equipment; picnic tables, drinking fountain and shelter house at Scotchridge Nature Park Trailhead; and the construction of a dog park. New Members are welcome! Flashlight Egg Hunt scheduled for this evening is now postponed due to predicted rainfall and cold temperatures.

The Carlisle Parks and Rec Department and the Friends of Carlisle Parks are getting ready for the 2018 Flashlight Easter Egg hunt!

Rain Date:

In the event of rain, a decision will be made at 5pm Friday March 23rd.  Rain Date will be Saturday, March 31st at  1pm. This will be a traditional Easter Egg Hunt.  

 

Seasonal Mower Operator Position

Seasonal Mower Operator – $10/hour

The City of Carlisle Parks Department is taking applications for Full time or Part time seasonal mower positions.

Applications are available at Carlisle City Hall (195 N. 1st Street) or online at the city website www.carlisleiowa.org.

Applicants must have valid driver’s license.

Application deadline is May 1st.

Pool Manager Position Available

 

Pool Manager
The Carlisle Aquatic Center is now accepting applicants for the seasonal position of Pool Manager for the 2018 summer season. The Pool Manager will work with the Parks and Rec Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of the Aquatic Center.

Manager duties include the supervision of all staff to include:
• gate attendant
• concessions stand staff
• lifeguards

Areas of responsibility:
*swim lessons schedule
*public swim hours of operation
*private pool parties
*maintenance of the pool area
*in-service lifeguard training
*The Pool Supervisor will also oversee the daily operations of the concessions stand.
*They will perform pump room duties including backwash and be responsible for making adjustments to chlorine levels as needed
*Other duties assigned by the Parks and Rec Superintendent.

  • Preferred minimum qualifications required: Valid Lifeguard Certificate, CPR/AED/First Aid certified,
  • Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age, one year of supervisory experience, or 3 years of aquatic experience, Water Safety Instructor Certified or YMCA Swim Lesson certification

Starting Wage is $12 an hour
