Police Department Hiring
The Carlisle Police Department is hiring a full-time police officer. Currently certified and non-certified candidates can click here to download the application materials.
The current Police Department contract provides hourly compensation from $60,418 to $77,853 depending on step. Top out pay within the contract is currently $85,833. In addition to wages, Carlisle offers a $2,000 annual stipend for officers who maintain full- time residency within the corporate city limits and a $10,000 hiring incentive for current Iowa certified law enforcement officers. A full range of benefits offered includes shift differential pay, holiday and longevity pay, annual uniform allowance, health insurance- including vision, dental and supplemental, vacation, sick and personal time off, IPERS retirement system, and local fitness membership. Officers can expect to work 7 out of 14 days per two week pay period, however; may be expected to work nights, holidays, weekends or overtime as necessary.
