Hydrant Flushing

The Carlisle Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants April 30th through May 10th as part of their Hydrant Preventative Maintenance Program. Hydrant flushing helps systematically work sediment out of the water lines and gives staff an opportunity to check hydrants are operational and flowing properly. Please remember that this important program can cause discolored water at your tap. Through May 10, we encourage you to run cold water through your tap briefly before using it to ensure it flows clear. If the water is discolored, please continue to run cold water until it flows clear. If you have questions, please call the City at 989-3224 and choose option 8.
